The Committee for Education intends to hold its next meeting on Wednesday 25 January 2017 at 10:00am in Room 30, Parliament Buildings.
The Committee undertakes a scrutiny, policy development and consultation role with respect to the Department for Education and plays a key role in the consideration and development of legislation. The Committee Chairperson is Barry McElduff MLA and Deputy Chair is Chris Lyttle MLA.
The Committee has requested an oral evidence session from the Minister and the Education Authority on budget arrangements for schools and contingency plans in respect of important policy areas for the period of the dissolution of the Northern Ireland Assembly
