The Department of Finance (DoF) have published a budget briefing document which sets out a number of scenarios relating to the Northern Ireland Budgetary Outlook 2018-20.
This budget briefing document sets out the broad strategic issues that will inform an incoming Executive’s decisions on a Budget for 2018-19 and 2019-20 (and 2020-21 for Capital).
The document also sets out a number of scenarios. The scenarios are not proposed budget settlements and no decisions have yet been taken. Their purpose is to illustrate the kinds of choices that will need to be considered by Ministers in reaching agreement on a Budget.
