Children and Staff at Crumlin Integrated Primary School recently enjoyed a visit from a German Teacher through the ‘Host a German Teacher’ scheme which is administered by UK-German Connection.
Frau Stephanie Gemming from Wendelinusschule, Petersberg visited Crumlin Integrated Primary School from 16 April to 27 April 2018.
During her visit Frau Gemming observed lessons and helped in classes. She also taught each class some basic German and told the children about schools in Germany. She was very interested in discovering how our school system operates on a daily basis and to learn about the school’s integrated ethos. In turn, she made a presentation to Crumlin Integrated Staff, explaining a little of the teaching routines and methods in her own school.
During her stay, Frau Gemming was also able to enjoy some sightseeing, visiting Belfast, The Giant’s Causeway and North Antrim Coast and the Folk Museum at Cultra.
It was a busy, but very rewarding two weeks for everyone involved!
