What We Do

Our Mission – what we want to do

The Integrated Education Fund aims to make integration, not separation, the norm in our education system through supporting the continued growth of integrated school places and by encouraging all schools to provide their pupils with the opportunity to engage meaningfully with children from different cultural and religious backgrounds in an environment that encourages them to achieve their full potential and proactively addresses and celebrates the different dimensions of diversity.

Our objectives are to:

  • Strive to meet parental demand by supporting initiatives that will help integrated education exceed 10% of all school places as soon as possible
  • Support innovative and meaningful sharing projects across the traditional education divide
  • Research into, and provide support for parental demand for integrated schooling in local communities
  • Significantly raise the profile of integrated education and the IEF
  • Increase capacity to influence educational change
  • Raise £20 million to deliver on our plans
