In the long term we would like to see integrated education fully funded by government and available to everyone. We are working with business, education, community and Church leaders to achieve this.
In the meantime, we are raising funds ourselves to continue providing the additional classrooms and additional teachers needed just to enable our existing integrated schools to meet the demand for places.
We are also raising funds to provide new integrated pre-school facilities, new playgrounds and new libraries, as well as support for schools transforming to integrated status.
Our commitment to integration has seen the Fund reach out to all types of schools who wish to give their pupils, teachers and parents the chance to work together across Northern Ireland’s traditional divide and promote cross-community understanding and trust.
Why we need your help?
The work of the IEF is entirely dependent on its ability to raise funds. Without fundraising it cannot provide the type of support needed by schools, parents and pupils across Northern Ireland who want the experience of integration. This experience, of knowing each other, listening to each other and working things out together, is essential to building a shared future based on respecting difference and celebrating diversity.
Send a regular donation by post in the form of a cheque made payable to the Integrated Education Fund.
Together we can help make integration, not separation, the norm for the children of Northern Ireland.
