SADIE

The Integrated Education Fund (IEF) Supporting And Developing Integrated Education (SADIE) Grants Programme was launched in September 2005. The funding originally available for this Programme has now been totally allocated in grants and accordingly, as of 20 January 2010, the SADIE Programme has been closed.

The IEF has great aspirations for further funding becoming available in the near future and all integrated schools will be contacted when a new grant programme is established.

Through SADIE, from September 2005 to December 2009, 133 grants totalling nearly £1.5 million were allocated to schools and groups working in and for integrated education. The IEF is delighted to have been able to support them and grateful to all those involved in delivering the projects funded and supporting the IEF in meeting the Programme aims and objectives.

The majority of the projects funded have now been completed and just a small number of grants remain operational. These remaining grants are funding active projects which are due to be completed at various stages between January 2010 and January 2013. For these remaining grants the funding committed/payments still to be made will be honoured and the current level of IEF support available and monitoring applied, along with the processes for the administration of grants, will continue until these projects/grants have been completed.

For current grant recipients, if you have any concerns, require any further information or would like to discuss your grant or project in more detail please don’t hesitate to contact the IEF Grants Officer, Sara Shields, by email to sara@ief.org.uk or by telephone on 028 9033 0031.
