25 Years of supporting Integrated Education

IEF 25 Logo Blue 200The Integrated Education Fund is celebrating 25 years of supporting integrated education in Northern Ireland. Between 1981 and the IEF’s first year, 1992, pioneering parents and others had already established 18 integrated schools attended by 3,408 pupils. Today, the total number of integrated schools has reached 65, providing places from pre-school to post-16, for over 22,000 children.

25 Years of supporting Integrated EducationThe IEF was established to try and bridge the financial gap between what was actually needed to support the development of integrated schools and what was available from government. To date it has raised over £20 million.

As part of our celebration, we have produced a series of short videos from schools which have benefited from IEF support.
