The Campaign wants to grow the number of integrated school places to help meet the demand for Integrated Education.
Ideally the Fund would like a place available to every parent, every child, who chooses this system of education. As a starting point we are determined to increase the number of integrated school places to 10% of the overall total as quickly as possible. When the Campaign was launched in 1998 the total was 3%. The Integrated Education Fund has a major fundraising drive to raise the necessary finance to support this strategy.
Since 1998, over £13 million has been raised, with over £11 million already disbursed to integrated projects. The remainder has strengthened the capital base of the Fund to allow it to provide financial guarantees to new integrated schools in advance of securing government support.
