Top comedy stars Ed Byrne, Grainne Maguire, Wendy Wason, Carl Donnelly and Lou Sanders will come together and stand up for a for a good cause in November.
Stand Up for Integrated Education, on Friday 02 November in the London Irish Centre, Camden Square, London will present an exciting line-up of talent in a one-off special which promises to tickle your ribs. All five comedians are giving their time in support of the Integrated Education Fund, the charity which works to grow integrated education in Northern Ireland in response to parental demand.
Ed Byrne is an acclaimed Irish stand-up comedian, voice over artist and actor. He has presented television shows Uncut! Unseen Ads and Just for Laughs and is a guest on many television panel games.
Grainne Maguire is an Irish comedian, writer of 8 out of 10 cats and Radio 4’s News quiz and the Now Show! She has appeared on BBC1′s Question Time, Daily Politics, ITV1′s Agenda and BBC Radio 4’s Women’s Hour.
Wendy Wason was already an established actress (TV shows include Coupling and The IT Crowd) when she launched her comedy career in 2004. She has since wowed audiences in the UK, Ireland and the USA and been a finalist in several stand-up awards.
Carl Donnelly has been nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Award twice, won a bunch of other awards, appeared on a selection of TV shows (Mock The Week, Russell Howard’s Good News etc) and travelled the world having performed at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, The Melbourne International Comedy Festival, The New Zealand Comedy Festival and pretty much every other comedy festival there is.
Lou Sanders is an English writer, stand-up comedian and actress. Her television appearances include programmes such as Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled, a live appearance on BBC1’s ‘Red Nose Day 2017’ for Comic Relief as part of Russell Brand’s Stand-Up Hour, Comedy Up Late from the Melbourne Comedy Festival, Russell Howard’s Good News, Big Brother’s Bit on the Side and Sam Delaney’s News Thing, as well as radio appearances including The Unbelievable Truth for Radio 4.
Lou is also known for her work as a comedy writer, having written for television programmes including Stand Up for the Week and 8 Out of 10 Cats and for acts including Miranda Hart. She was previously a co-host on The Richard Herring Show on Fubar Radio.
