The Committee for Education met on 25 November 2020 and considered evidence from Colm Cavanagh, the co-author of the independent report on Integrated Education and the Department’s response to the report.
The Review contains 39 recommendations for developing and supporting the growth of integrated Education in NI including reconsidering the official definition of the term and extending the current legal duty to “encourage and facilitate” the development of integrated education to include a requirement to “promote” the model.
