The application period for the round seven of the Integrated Education Fund (IEF) Trust Programme is now open.
The Trust Programme – Integration in Practice is designed to support integrated schools with embedding the integrated ethos within the structure of the school.
All applications should include school-based and community activities with parent/guardian involvement that demonstrate an integrated ethos, and projects must be completed by no later than 30 June 2023.
Examples of work to be funded include: whole school training for staff, governors and parents; updating school policies; developing school approaches on contentious issues; religious education; assemblies and/or festivals.
Applicants are encouraged to work with other integrated schools close by and joint applications will be accepted eg two integrated primary schools may wish to work together or an integrated primary and post primary school.
Funding of up to £4,000 for an individual school project or up to £6,000 for joint projects are available. The total amount of funding available for the programme is limited therefore the number of grants that the IEF can award is also restricted.
Projects can begin from 01 September 2022 and must be completed by 30 June 2023. In order to be considered for a Trust Programme grant, applicants should show that the grant will support clear development and/or improvements on issues of integration within the school setting including improving religious balance within the school.
Deadline for applications is Friday, 01 April 2022 at 4pm.
