The majority of schools in Northern Ireland are involved in some degree of cross-community work. For schools which want to take the next step and become integrated, the process can be straight-forward and very rewarding. This process is officially termed transformation.
Each school moves forward at its own pace but all go through the same stages: the consultation stage; the formal process, and, if DE approves the school’s proposal, practical steps towards integration.
This section of our website contains further information to help you explore the transformation process, including details of the help and support available to schools as they consider this option.
